About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Product Owner to join our Product Management and Marketing team, and work on our cutting edge 5G switching products. This is a highly technical position that requires the individual to be an expert in Radio Access Network (RAN), Ethernet and IP switching technologies. The Product Manager is responsible for driving the product definition, and program 5G transport product line. This Individual is responsible for leading interactions with the development, production, marketing, sales and service organizations. They assure successful business results for that product line by satisfying customer needs.

What you'll do
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Canoga’s new 5G Product line:
Collaborate with product team members to define the product vision and product strategy.
Through comprehensive knowledge of market, competitive landscape, customer requirements, distribution channels and Canoga 5G offerings, anticipate market and customer requirements.
Research the target market and buyer persona for private 5G and CSP customers.
Convert analysis into coherent market plan including product cost, sales volume and profitability expectations.
Develop the product roadmap and product requirements, in the form of a Product Requirements document that fits in with the overall strategy of the company.
Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; review production and sales costs, anticipate volume; price special and customized orders.
Articulate product positioning and competitive positioning for 5G offerings.
Support Sales team in external customer and marketing engagements around the product.
Own product lifecycle management for assigned product lines including tactical execution, manage custom requirements, develop and drive end of life plans and execute inventory objectives.
Prepare product launches.
Work with the developers to deliver quality features and products within the expected timeline.
What we're looking for
The successful candidate will have experience in or knowledge of:
O-RAN and 3GPP technologies for the Radio Access Networks (4G/5G) and New Radio Cloud, virtualization and containerization, especially hyperscaler offerings for Mobile Edge Compute.
IEEE 802.1 LAN/MAN bridging technologies, with special emphasis on Time Sensitive Networking.
IETF routing standards, such as IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, SRv6, SR-MPLS, etc.
Private 5G deployments and channels to this market.
Communications Service Provider (CSP) wireline deployment models, topology, services, operational support systems, access network, outside plant facilities.
CSP sales cycle, network equipment standardization process, service deployment and maintenance.
Product Life Cycle process to manufacture products for US, Canada and Europe.
What would be useful
It would be useful and advantageous for the candidate to have experience in or knowledge of:
Data Center architecture and edge computing.
Industrial 4.0 and 5G applications including ultra-reliable low latency communications (uRLLC).
Cyber-physical systems engineering, AI.
FPGA architecture, design and implementations.
Switching ASIC designs and options on the market.
Must Have
The successful candidate must have:
5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in Telecommunications or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A high level of comfort presenting to large groups.
The ability to convey complex notions/systems/technologies in a way that it is simple to understand.
The ability to work independently and be self-motivated and a self-starter.
The ability to maintain an excellent rapport with internal and external customers and develop trust.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Graduate degree a plus.
Strong process adherence.
Intermediate level skills in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook & Strong Presentation Skills.
